9 January 2012 was a joyous and blessed day for Josephians from the Graduating Class 2011 as they received news of their excellent results in the 2011 GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations. Despite a large candidature of about 400 students and a relatively wide range of academic abilities, as a cohort they achieved a mean L1B5* score of 10.1 – the school’s best results to-date, and places SJI in the top academic banding - Band 1. In terms of value-added, the boys have also surpassed, by a wide margin of 2.5 grades, the expected mean L1B5 of 12.6. All these are a good testament to the growth of the boys in their four year in SJI. |

In the second half of 2011, we surveyed parents to hear views on issues such as our curriculum, the programmes, the way we communicate with parents, the quality of our customer service, as well as to gather ideas for the Enhanced Infrastructure project we will be participating in. This survey was administered to a random sample of about 20% families across the 6 levels.
The comments cover a very diverse range of issues. While we are unable to deal with each and every comment in detail, I would like to encourage you to drop us an email if you would like to discuss them further. The school's email address is saps@moe.edu.sg
